The Crooked River Surf Lodge Farm

Down the south coast of New South Wales is a small property called The Crooked River Surf Lodge Farm. Sitting on Crooked River Road, and a five-minute walk to the surf of Gerroa and Gerringong, it is where we work hand-in-hand with local farmer Tim, to produce much of what we offer at The Well Cafe.

Crooked River Surf Lodge Farm is not a large scale commercial place. In fact, it is less than 50 acres but it enjoys the lush south coast conditions, clean air and fantastic soils that are enriched through sustainable farming practices. For example, the land is maintained by cycling grazing cattle and chickens to ensure there is natural bio-fuel layered regularly. The pecking and picking naturally mix the soil ingredients together.
